On Saturday 1st August 2026 Obsidian Strategic, the London based company promoting this development, announced a 14 day consultation period as part of their preparations to submit a new 'Megasheds' planning application. We expect the application to be submitted 4-6 weeks after consultation is closed.

The new proposal appears to differ very little from their original pre-application which was rejected by Hart Planning back in 2024. The only difference is that the same million square footage is now housed in 4 'Megasheds' instead of 5, but otherwise pretty much the same unsustainable proposals.
